About the Role
Caring Connections is seeking dedicated, empathetic Live-In Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide essential care and companionship to our clients. As a Live-In HHA, you will be responsible for supporting clients with daily living activities, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, and fostering strong, positive relationships. This role offers the rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on the well-being and quality of life for seniors in need of comprehensive, around the clock care.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and compassionate care in a live-in setting, supporting clients throughout the day and evening
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support mobility, transfers, and positioning for clients with physical limitations
Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean environment
Monitor client health, including observing and reporting any changes in physical or mental condition
Offer companionship, engage clients in meaningful activities, and provide emotional support
Administer medications as directed by the care plan (if certified)
Communicate effectively with family members, caregivers, and other members of the care team
Ensure a safe environment and report any hazards or concerns promptly
Requirements
- Must have a valid HHA or PCA certificate
- Experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including ADLs and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with health care systems and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
